Stylish star Allu Arjun’s much-awaited patriotic drama, Naa Peru Surya is carrying positive buzz among the fans and trade circles. Directed by Vakkantham Vamsi, the film has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it is.

Surya(Allu Arjun) an Indian Army officer will be suspended from the job due to his short-tempered behavior. With no option left, Surya approaches his father(Arjun) to get better of his anger. Will Arjun help Bunny to get control over his anger management? In the meantime, How baddies Sharath Kumar and his son Anoop Singh are interlinked with the story? To know this, you have to watch the film in nearby cinemas.

Right from the first frame, it is Bunny and his stunning screen presence that steals the show completely. His aggressive acting and impressive screen presence will bring a lot of depth to the proceedings. Action hero Arjun gets a witty role and he completely did justice to it. Heroine Anu Emmanuel is also impressive and gave a decent performance in her limited screen presence. Comedian Vennela Kishore evokes few laughs here and there in the latter half. Yesteryear heroine Nadhiya impresses with her acting in given dignified role. Sharath Kumar and Anoop Singh are okay in their respective roles.

Plus Points:

Bunny’s performance

Crucial scenes between Arjun and Bunny

Action episodes

Minus Points:

Lack of proper emotions

Songs picturization

Predictable narration

All in all, Naa Peru Surya is a passable patriotic drama which is packed with high voltage action episodes. Those who expect regular commercial stuff like comedy and mass elements may disappoint a bit but for others, this is surely an one time watch for this weekend. Rating : 3/5
