Vallabhaneni Vamsi who was previously with TDP has tested positive for Covid-19, say latest reports. The firebrand leader is presently being treated at a private hospital.
Vamsi has been exhibiting mild symptoms of Covid-19 and nothing is serious for now. He is expected to recover in two weeks time.
Vamsi has been openly opposing Telugu Desam Party and siding with YSRCP for a while now.
Meanwhile, Vamsi’s political career is not in the best of phases as he has been facing criticism from YSRC leader, Yarlagadda Venkat Rao in his home constituency, Gannavaram.
YCP chief YS Jagan sees Vamsi as a potent leader and promised him a prominent position in the party. Jagan asked Vamsi to be more open minded while interacting with YCP forces in the constituency.
Vamsi is expected to emerge as one of the key leaders for YSRC in Gannavaram constituency. His rivalry with Nara Lokesh is the main reason behind his departure from TDP.
