TDP scion Nara Lokesh is often subject to trolls and criticism for his lackluster vocal skills. He makes wayward statements more often than not and is also poor with Telugu vocabulary. Consequently, he was not used in TDP election campaigning thus far.
However, things have changed now and Lokesh has finally bagged the opportunity to campaign for his party leader in the forthcoming local body elections. It appears to be that Chandrababu is trusting in Lokesh now and opines he is more equipped to lead his party troops from the front.
Lokesh campaigned for his party candidates in Vizag Municipal Corporation area and breathed fire on the ruling party.
Well, he did come up with a howler, saying Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the prime minister of the country in 1978 while in reality, the latter took charge as the prime minister in 1988. Keeping that aside, Lokesh now gets the opportunity to get in touch with the booth-level cadre of TDP and these local polls will be a great learning experience for him personally.
Chandrababu Naidu was not seen in any election campaign thus far. It appears to be that he wants to project Lokesh as the face of the party from now on.
