The release dates for several films had been announced a few weeks ago, and a lot of them locked Sankranti 2021 as the release date. Things were expected to normalise at least a bit by Sankranthi, but the situation remains the same, with no vaccine, and with the virus continuing to spread as usual.
As a result, all the films that were supposed to have been released for Sankranthi have now been postponed to a later date, with the exception of Ravi Teja’s Krack. All the other films will either take the digital route, or wait until things get better.
According to sources, Nithiin’s Rang De and Akhil’s Most Eligible Bachelor may choose the digital route if they are offered a decent amount by any digital platforms. It is now to be seen when things will get to the slightest bit normal, and when theaters will start opening up.
