Tollywood truly paved the way for the Indian film industry post lockdown. Theatre business was slowly getting back to normal, but once again, it is dwindling due to the second wave of coronavirus. Most of the films that were scheduled to release in the upcoming weeks have been postponed because of that reason, and now theatres are getting another shock.
The Andhra Pradesh government has strictly ordered all the theatres to reduce their occupancy to 50%. In Telangana, night curfew is about to be implemented, from 9 PM to 5 AM. This would mean that there would be no early morning shows or second shows.
All theaters in Telangana would have to shut down their operations by 8 PM. Both of these measures are not going to be very helpful for theatre owners, who have suffered great losses last year due to the lockdown.
