YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying to make the most out of TDP’s inability to fulfil the promises they made in 2014 elections. The main point that worked in favour of TDP-BJP alliance was the special status promise. However, the parties failed to live up to their promise and bid adieu to each other.
These proceedings gave Jagan a great opportunity to project himself as a worthy alternative. Interestingly, Jagan is is sticking to his Pada Yathra and is skipping the fight for Special Category Status. Moreover, he is confining his protest to Twitter. He recently tweeted that YCP’s MPs are getting medical assistance after their hunger strike. He urged Modi to allot SCS as soon as possible.
Many people are opening that Jagan should get more active and participate in protest events rather than stick to his Yatra. It is fair to say that Jagan should definitely being doing something more than tweeting about the Special Status.
