AP chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu was in power from 1995-2004 before coming back and winning in 2014 elections.
Naidu’s tenure as CM for 9 years was far more comfortable to him when compared to his current situation. Babu is facing too many problems at a time. Lack of funds for adjusting the budget, ties with BJP in a strangled state and no support from the center are just a few of them.
As if this wasn’t enough, YSRCP is inching closer to an alliance with BJP for 2019 elections. That can seriously affect TDP’s chances of coming back to power in the coming elections.
With all these problems in mind, it would be interesting to watch the next move from TDP thinktanks.
