Telugu voters in Karnataka have turned into a prominent vote bank in this year elections. All the political parties are looking to attract the Telugu voters in various constituencies and have come up with various political strategies. Interestingly, Congress and BJP leaders from Andhra Pradesh have been attending road shows in the neighboring state and campaigning for their parties.
A similar incident is happening in Bellary constituency as well. It is already known that Gali Somasekhar Reddy will be contesting from Bellary and Gali Janardhan Reddy is doing all he can to ensure that his brother emerges victorious this time around.
However, Janardhan Reddy is currently on a restricted bail and cannot enter the Bellary district without prior permission from the supreme court. This makes it clear that he cannot campaign for Somasekhar Reddy. The interesting news is that Gali Janardhan Reddy has requested YS Jagan to campaign for Somasekhar Reddy in the Bellary constituency. However, Jagan did not assure anything as of now and said that he will think about it.
This is surely a tricky situation for Jagan as Gali brothers are his close aides and he simply cannot reject their request. With that being said, Jagan will have to face the backlash if he campaigns for Somasekhar Reddy as the latter is involved in illegal mining cases. It would be interesting to watch if Jagan will help the Gali brothers now.
