Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Chandra Babu has started preparations for the 2019 elections. Apparently, Babu has ordered the party’s leaders to go aggressive while promoting the party. He asked the working level leaders to work hard for cycle yatra and the other protest events that are set to be held by the party high command in the following days.
Babu is feeling that Jagan has garnered good following through his Pada Yatra and TDP should nullify this by organizing various protest events. Reportedly, babu has adviced his party leaders not to back down while criticising the central government in public meetings.
The interesting news is that Babu has made it clear to the party cadre that the party will not be forming an alliance for 2019 elections. The yellow party formed a mega alliance, Mahaa Kootami in 2009 elections and followed a similar strategy by joining forces with BJP in 2014 elections. It needs to be seen if TDP can come close to the magic figure(88 MLA seats) without support from any other political party.
