It is well-known that the vote-for-note case created a lot of tension in AP and Telangana politics. The involvement of TDP bigwigs, including the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandra Babu himself bought a lot of prominence to the case. Surprisingly, things were sidetracked after a few days and there was no further progress.
All of a sudden, KCR recently ordered the CBI officials to reopen the case and carry on with their investigation. This incident shocked many people as KCR’s sudden orders to reinitiate the investigation was not expected by many.
The latest news is that CBI is all set to submit the third charge sheet and Chandra Babu will be added to the accused list. In the past, CBI lodged two charge sheets with Revanth Reddy as A1, but CBN’s name was not included in the list. This is the first time CBN will be officially involved in the note-for-vote case.
Reportedly, CBI is gathering details about the Rs 50 lakh cash that was offered to the TRS MLA by Revanth Reddy(Ex-TDP MLA). They are doubting the involvement of another TDP MLA in the whole process.
The buzz is that CBI will be submitting the charge sheet to the court by next week.
