TDP starts ‘attraction’ strategy

With just over a year left for general elections in Andhra Pradesh, the political parties in the state are laying out strategies in order to have their best shot to form the government. While the opposition leader, Jagan decided to stay in the public through his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, Chandra Babu is opting to hold huge events like Dharma Porata Deeksha and Nava nirmana Deeksha.

The interesting point here is that the TDP government has started attracting the voters by implementing new schemes in the fifth, and final year of their tenure. Incidentally, the government initiated various schemes like unemployment allowance, Janmabhumi and also sped up the development works at Polavaram project.

Chandra Babu is very much aware that the party scored very minimal marks in its four-year tenure and gaining support from the public only got tougher. This may be the reason behind the government’s urgency to come up with public-attracting schemes.
