Karnataka chief minister, HD Kumaraswamy took charge as the chief minister of Karnataka despite the fact that his party conquered just 37 MLA seats. Congress party was so very desperate to make sure that BJP does not form the government that they were ready to support another party leader even after winning 68 MLA seats.
However, it has been anything but an easy ride for Kumaraswamy ever since he took charge as the CM. BJP asserted great pressure on him to fulfill the loan waiver promise that he made during the elections campaigning. Reacting to this, Kumaraswamy said that he will be implementing scheme at any cost and will give an update about the same within a week.
When asked about the loan waiver scheme, Deve Gowda said that this is not an easy task and involves various complexities, making it a time-taking process.
These contradicting statements from father and son are confusing the public in Karnataka as there is no clarity about the loan waiver scheme.
On a contemporary note, Kumaraswamy recently met the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi to discuss the future prospects in the Kannada state.
