‘Social media’ strategy damaged Naa Peru Surya?

Allu Arjun’s latest patriotic drama Naa Peru Surya opened to a mixed response on the day of its release. The movie released amidst good expectations as a lot of pre-release business was riding on it and Allu Arjun had a tough task on hands. Sadly, the movie failed to register great numbers at the box office even on the weekends.

Interestingly, the first half of the movie is pacy and filled with high octane actions sequences that can entertain the B&C centers. However, things go wrong during the climax as the director opts for a wayward social media impact strategy as a key plot. The proceedings get a tad confusing as a generalized subject(Social media) is dragged on and on for lengthy portions.

The movie’s result could have been completely different if it had a captivating climax episode. Moreover, the makers have reportedly trimmed out 20 minutes of the second half, but the movie is still failing to attract the viewers. The trade reports indicate that the movie may find it tough to register even break even numbers in the Telugu states.
