Mahesh Babu’s latest political drama Bharath Ane Nenu opened to a positive word of mouth and encouraging reviews all over. The movie had a massive release both in India and the overseas, thanks to the immense crowd pulling capabilities of Mahesh and Koratala Siva.
The trade analysts estimated the flick to set new records in opening day collections. Surprisingly, the movie collected Rs. 22.24 crores and stood sixth on the list of highest opening day collections in Tollywood. The interesting news is that BAN failed to beat the likes of Agnathavasi( Rs. 27 crores) and Katamarayudu(Rs 23.08 crores). These movies were mere disasters for Pawan Kalyan but managed to set the ticket counters on fire in the initial stages.
With that being said. the reports for BAN are really good and the movie is expected to have a prolonged run at the box office. It needs to be seen is BAN can cross the lifetime collections of Rangasthalam and stand as the biggest Non-Bahubali hit.
