It needs to be said that the political scenario in Andhra Pradesh is a tad favorable to the opposition leader, YS Jagan. TDP’s failure to bring special category status to the state and below par governance are taking a toll on the party’s chances to retain power in 2019 elections.
Interestingly, senior leaders from various parties are waiting for Jagan’s invitation to join YSRCP. The latest news is that Anam Ramnarayan Reddy and Kanna Lakshmi Narayana are eagerly awaiting Jagan’s orders. Anam had a disappointing spell with TDP party as he was not allotted the MLA ticket from Nellore constituency. Similarly, Kanna is deeply hurt as he was neglected in the race for BJP AP wing president. Both the senior leaders are ready to quit their respective parties and are waiting for YCP supremo’s commands.
With that being said, Jagan needs to be very cautious this time around. Lack of proper planning and irresponsible allotment of MLA and MP tickets during the 2014 elections hurt the party big time. Jagan should stick to longtime workers rather than run after seasoned politicians from other parties, opine YCP leaders.
