Review : Sammohanam – Decent Attempt

Sudheer Babu and Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari’s romantic drama, Sammohanam, is carrying decent buzz among the trade circles. Directed by Indraganti Mohan Krishna, the film has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it is.

Story:

Vijay (Sudheer Babu), an aspiring book author always feels that Art is greater than Cinema and has a cheap opinion on filmy people. On the other hand, Vijay’s father Naresh, who has a soft tone on film industry gives their house for a film shooting. That is the time when Vijay meets Sameera(Aditi Rao), who is a star actress at the shoot. Will Vijay changes his opinion on Cinema people after meeting Sameera? Will the relationship between Vijay and Sameer sail smooth? What kind of incidents Vijay has to face in the meantime? To know this, you have to watch the film in theaters.

Analysis:

Director Indragenti Mohan Krishna, who earlier delivered soft and light-hearted entertainers has come up with yet another simple and yet soothing film. Though the film has a very thin storyline, Indragenti narrated the proceedings in a convincing manner. The way he designed main lead roles will impress the multiplex to the audience. Coming to performances, Sudheer Babu has once again given a settle performance in his role. Right from his body language to dialogue delivery everything looks fresh and impressive. Heroine Aditi Rao Hydari is a surprise package for the film. Her acting and charming looks will bring a lot of depth to the proceedings. Actor Naresh has once again got a good role in which he excelled completely.

Verdict:

All in all, Sammohanam is a breezy entertainer which has a few beautiful moments between the lead pair. Though the film has a few hilarious scenes and nicely written romantic scenes between the lead pair, lack of strong storyline and slow-paced narration may not appeal to all sections of the audience. If you neglect the above-mentioned points, the film is an easy one time watch and is a better choice for this weekend.
