Karnataka general elections have created a tensed atmosphere in the Kannada state. With no political party strong enough to form the government, the number game has turned very crucial as the single biggest party, BJP has fallen 8 MLAs short for the magic figure. With 104 MLA seats, BJP has already started the hunt for gathering 8-10 MLAs to show their majority in the assembly and form the government.
The interesting part is that Chandra Babu Naidu and K Chandra Sekhar Rao are in touch with the Congress high command. Allegedly, both the chief ministers made phone calls to Sonia Gandhi and gave some suggestions about the current happenings and how to make sure that Congress and JDS form the government.
Interestingly, both CBN and KCR are hellbent that BJP should not make it to the power as the saffron party can increase its grip in South India if it forms the government in Karnataka. The interesting part is that KCR urged the public not to vote for BJP and Congress in Karnataka, saying that the country should get rid of the national parties. However, he is currently supporting Congress party to make sure that BJP does not come to power in the neighboring state. Politics is a weird game, isn’t it?
