The Congress party president, Rahul Gandhi has come up with an interesting tweet on the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi. Rahul tweeted that the BJP government failed miserably in helping the farmers in Karnataka.
In his tweet, Rahul mentioned that the BJP government promised a financial support of Rs 8500 crores, but did not allot a single rupee to the Karnataka state government. He added that the PM’s crop insurance scheme is a disaster and insurance companies reaped huge benefits instead of the needy farmers in the state.
Rahul further added that the BJP government failed in increasing the minimum support price(MSP) as they promised earlier. Apparently, Modi promised that the BJP government will be adding 50% to the pre-existing MSP but failed to do so. On the whole, Rahul stated that he is unsatisfied with the BJP government and gave ‘F’ grade to Modi. The context of Rahul’s tweet is that Modi failed to keep up the promises that he made to the farmers in the previous election campaign.
The election campaigns in Karnataka are looking really interesting with Congress and BJP fighting it out till the very end.
