Janasena chief, Pawan Kalyan made a grand slam entry into politics in 2014. He garnered a lot of attention to the party in the initial stages by expressing the pain he faced after his brother Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam merged with Congress. Pawan’s speeches were filled with aggression, pain, and self-belief. However, that is not the case now.
Pawan’s speeches turned routine and even his ardent followers are feeling the same. Pawan’s ever-fluctuating ideology confused many political followers and experts. All in all, Janasena, under the leadership of Pawan Kalyan, had a decent run for the past 4 years.
Recently, Pawan stated that Janasena will be contesting in all 175 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. To be fair, it is tough for Janasena to have a massive impact in the following elections as YCP and TDP boast a huge cadre and have political experts up their ranks. It would be a tough task for Pawan Kalyan to single-handedly come up against these political heavyweights
If we assume that Janasena will be limited to less than 10 MLA seats, the following 5 years(2019-2014) would be anything but easy for the party. The main question is, can Pawan Kalyan show the strength and patience to stand as the 2nd opposition in the state for 5 long years? Only time will answer this question.
