Kumaraswamy in trouble?

Just when everyone thought things were settled in Karnataka after Yeddyurappa resigned to his post, the latest developments are suggesting yet another political game in the Kannada state. As per sources, Congress is looking to bring up a new claim, saying that JDS and Congress should split the power over the 5-year tenure.

Apparently, Congress has come up with a proposal of sharing the CM post for 30 months each. This way, Kumaraswamy will be the CM for the first 30 months and will have to give it up to Congress for the latter half. This was not the case when Congress pledged their support to JDS as soon as the elections were completed. The Congress party stated that they will be supporting Kumaraswamy as the CM. However, their sudden change in their attitude is surprising many political experts in Karnataka.

All these developments indicate that the political scenario in Karnataka has been turned upside down after Yeddyurappa resigned as the CM, 2 days after taking charge. A few reports are claiming that Kumaraswamy will be leaving to Delhi today to meet Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. They will be discussing about the future prospects in Karnataka politics.

We can expect some sort of clarity on the issue after the meeting is completed. It is already known that Kumaraswamy will be taking charge as the CM on May 23rd.
