For some odd reason, Telangana Congress leaders have been fighting amongst themselves, defaming the party on their own. Recently, Revanth Reddy said that the Congress high command is not making full use of his leadership skills. Revanth’s statements received a huge backlash as senior leaders were stunned by Revanth’s aggressive attitude just months after joining the party.
On a contemporary note, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy said that the Telangana Congress leaders are self-destructing the party. He said that Uttam Kumar Reddy sidelined a valuable contestant in Nalgonda, just to allot that MP ticket to his wife. He added that Jana Reddy broke the rules and gave an MLA ticket to his close aide, which was initially reserved for BC candidate.
Komatireddy said that the internal politics has cost the party big time in 2014 elections and similar results will occur if proper care is not taken towards 2019 elections. Speaking about the Rythu Bandhu scheme from TRS government, Rajagopal Reddy said that the government is trying to attract the voters just before the general elections by offering money. He said that the farmer will never actually receive rupee and all the funds will be pocketed by officials.
All in all, it is fair to say that the internal relations in the age-old party are not in the best phase. It is important for the senior leaders to work together, or else the party will be facing a tough period during the 2019 elections.
