There is tension in the air ahead of the Karnataka elections as the parties are fighting neck-to-neck to come to power in the state and have gone all out of way in campaigning for the elections.
It was reported that the campaigns in Karnataka witnessed a shocking flow of cash and an estimated amount of 25000 crores is said to be spent on elections. This amount is almost equal to one fourth of the budget allocation of a larger state in the country.
There are several allegations that this huge amount of cash was shifted from other states to Karnataka. And it looks like the main reason for the cash crises in several states like AP, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
