The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday appointed Kanna Laxmi Narayana as the president of party’s Andhra Pradesh unit.
The party has also appointed MLC Somaveera Raju as State Convener of Election Management Committee. This was disclosed in a communiqué sent by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh. He informed that the appointments were made by party president Amit Shah.
The post of AP BJP President was vacant ever since Visakhapatnam MP Hari Babu resigned from the post a few months ago.
Laxminarayana was a senior Congress leader and had served as a minister. After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, he had joined the BJP.
