The possibility of Janasena’s tie up with the Left parties is sending shivers to major political parties. They fear that this alliance might be a strong competition in the upcoming elections.
The combination of CPI, CPM’s stronghold over the urban and rural parts of Rayalaseema and the mighty youth following of Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan can strongly affect the ballots.
Furthermore, CPI state secretary has been elected as the MLA of Anantapur and CPM leader Geynanad was elected the MLC of that division right after Pawan announced that he would be contesting from Anantapur.
This sent out a strong message to other political parties. A senior analyst recalled that the 2009 elections saw the Praja Rajyam Party-Loksatta alliance make a strong impact on the votes.
Looks like the coming elections might see similar sights.
