Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Chandra Babu Naidu has taken a really strong decision about the unemployment allowance scheme that was a part of TDP’s manifesto in the 2014 elections. The CM has ordered the concerned department to fasten up the procedure and implement the scheme by June 8th. This left the officials with very little time and are forced to work round the clock to meet the deadline.
TDP did not bat an eye towards the promise they made during in 2014. However, with the next general elections fast approaching, the TDP high command is very desperate to gain some sort of support from the unemployed youth in the state.
In 2014, TDP manifesto clearly stated that the government will be allotting Rs 2000 per month for every unemployed individual in the state. The government is looking to kickstart the process by allotting funds for unemployed individuals who have completed their degrees. Our sources said that the government is still unsure about the amount they will be paying as allowance as of now.
This leaves the opposition parties with a solid point that the government is trying to lure the public by implementing schemes just 1 year before the general elections.
