How is Jagan managing to attract crowds?

Andhra Pradesh opposition leader, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy chose Pada Yatra(Walkathon) as his primary option to kickstart the preparations for 2019 general elections. The YCP chief has already toured Rayalaseema and Nellore region and is currently in Uttarandhra districts. It is an open secret that Uttarandhra region is more like a traditional vote bank to the Telugu Desam Party and that was very clear during 2014 elections. Jagan is looking to turn the odds into his favor by targetting the East and West Godavari districts.

The latest reports flying in from East Godavari districts are suggesting that YCP leaders are planning a massive welcome event as Jagan will be entering the district today. It needs to be said that Jagan managed to attract huge crowds in every single constituency, proving the fact that he is a mass leader. This is a rare feat in politics as even capable leaders fail to such a huge following in a short span. Ruling party leader, Nara Lokesh is a perfect example for the same.

It looks like YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s image is written all over on Jagan and that is coming in really hand for the young leader. However, Jagan failed to convert this craze into votes during the previous elections and that exposed his political inefficiency and inexperience. Chandra Babu made the most out of this and could easily work his way around the YSRCP and formed the government. We should wait and watch if Jagan will rectify his mistake and set things right in 2019.
