Star producer, Dil Raju went all in on his latest productional venture, Srinivasa Kalyanam. He knew that the stakes were high and aggressive promotions from the entire movie unit is mandatory for this family-oriented drama. Unfortunately, all this buildup is playing the spoiler part now as the movie is receiving a dull response from the viewers.
If we take a look at the past, Dil Raju openly stated that Srinivasa Kalyanam will be a benchmark film for his production house, Sri Venkateshwara creations. The star filmmaker took everyone by surprise after saying that this movie will be on par with blockbusters like Bommarillu and Shathamanam Bhavathi.
Owing to all these hype-building acts, the audience went into the theaters, expecting nothing less to a visual treat. Sadly, they were served a totally different dish that failed to live up to the expectations. The family drama did not pack a solid punch and looks more like a typical wedding cassette. The over-usage of marriage concept further added to the woes of the movie.
The incoming trade reports from the USA are stating that the movie has collected a total of $56K from the US premiers. This is the 3rd highest grosser for Nithiin in the US market with the first 2 being A aa and Chal Mohan Ranga. Srinivasa Kalyanam is performing slightly better than Nithiin’s debacle, Lie, which made $55k from premiers.
