Congress leader to be the Deputy CM

After the swearing in of Kumaraswamy of JD(S) as the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Congress leader G Parameshwara is set to become the Deputy Chief Minister. Karnata will have a Dalit leader as the deputy CM for the first time ever.

KPCC member G Parameshwara had been elected to the Karnataka Assembly four times in the past and was also one of the chief competitors for the Chief Ministerial candidate of Congress but when he lost in Kotargare, Siddramiah was chosen instead of him.

The JDS and Congress together managed to beat the BJP who had the single highest majority by some shrewd schemes and acting just in time.
