Congress party senior leader, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy recently flew back to India after his personal trip to the USA. Speaking to the media, Komatireddy made some interesting comments on Revanth Reddy’s aspirations of becoming the chief minister of Telangana.
The senior leader said that Congress is not an individual party and runs on the pathway set by the party high command. He added that there are many senior leaders in the party who are more eligible than Revanth. Interestingly, Komatireddy said that Revanth should have stayed back in TDp and developed the party, in order to become the chief minister of Telangana.
Komatireddy bashed Revanth’s claims that Rajul Gandhi promised the latter a lot more prominence before joining the party and is failing to do the same now. The senior leader said that Rahul did not make any promises to Revanth and he should be more patient as it has been just a few months since he has joined the party.
Revanth is yet to react to Komatireddy’s comments, but it is fair to say that senior leaders in the party are disappointed with Revanth’s daring comments.
