India is one of the largest economies in the world and there are no second thoughts on it. This is making unified payments(online transactions) a field with enormous potential.
Online transactions have become a common practice in our country. This has given scope for many platforms like Paytm and Google Tez to attract users with simplicity and special offers.
Recently, Instant messaging platform, WhatsApp came up with the plan of enabling online transactions. However, the central government of India rejected this proposal saying WhatsApp didn’t comply with suggested guidelines.
This comes as a big blow to WhatsApp who were hoping to expand their reach in India.
