Janasana Party leader and actor Pawan Kalyan has decided to take the fight for Special Category Status for Andhra a notch higher.
He held a meeting with the CPI(M) and CPI parties at his office to decide the future course of action. These three parties are likely to meet again on the 4th of April.
Speaking to journalists, he said that TDP has been changing its standpoint on the SCS issue for a multiple times and that the opposition party YSRCP has also failed to put any pressure on the Centre to grant SCS for Andhra.
‘The TDP leadership has compromised on SCS several times and put it off on one pretext or the other. People have lost confidence on the party, as it couldn’t achieve SCS in 4 years and are doubtful that it can achieve it in future’ he stated.
Attacking Andhra CM Chandra Babu’s government Pawan alleged that unemployment was on rise and that farmers remunerative prices for their produce. The government repeatedly showered concern over finance but spent lavishly on pushkaralu.
‘Amaravathi is not a people’s capital. It is only for a select few of the TDP’ he fumed adding that there was no provision for accommodating people from backward parts of north coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts in the new capital.
