It is widely known that the BJP president, Amit Shah recently campaigned for the party in Karnataka. With the general elections to be held on May 12th, Amit Shah made sure that he ticked all the right boxes to attract the voters.
In an election campaign, Amit Shah clearly stated that the party has no connections with Gali Janardhan Reddy. It is well-known that Gali was accused of illegal mining activities in and around Bellary area. The party would have felt that his inclusion may send wrong signals to the voters.
The recently revealed list of contestants for the 2018 elections shows that Amit Shah has played a double game in front of the public. Reportedly, the BJP high command allotted 9 MLA tickets to Gali Janardhan Reddy’s clan. As per sources, Gali Janardhan Reddy’s brother, Gali Somasekhar Reddy will be contesting from Bellary constituency.
This clearly shows that BJP made some strong comments in public meetings and the ground reality is anything but that.
