Amaravthi to become first Indian city to host Olympics?

CM Chandra Babu announced that if India ever hosts Olympics, Andhra Pradesh would be the host of it. He said that Amaravathi would be developed on a scale of such grandeur which will make it an ideal destination for hosting Olympics.

The Chief Minister lauded Ragala Venkat of Guntur who won a gold for weightlifting in the Common Wealth Games. Speaking on this occasion he said, the state will always encourage and support sportspersons. He also awarded the gold medalist a cash prize of 50 lakhs.

CM Chandra Babu has mentioned at several occasions that Amaravathi would have state of the art amenities and would become one of the most developed cities in the world competing with Tokyo and Singapore. This announcement increased curiosity and excitement in the people of Andhra.
