South Indian superstar Allu Arjun is currently one of the most followed heroes across South India. Interestingly, Allu Arjun has a decent following in Malayalam film industry as well. The stylish actor’s previous movies, Duvvada Jagannadham and Sarrainodu were great moneyspinners at the ticket counters in South India.

Surprisingly, both these movies got an average response from the audience but somehow managed to register stunning numbers at the box office. These movies shocked the trade pundits by collecting massive shares despite poor word of mouth. In that case, Sarrainodu at least had mass elements that clicked commercially, but DJ was a beaten to death action drama that offered nothing new to the viewers. Allu Arjun proved his crowd-pulling capabilities by registering great footfalls at the theaters for a below average movie.

It needs to be said that Allu Arjun had one thing or the other going his way in his previous 2 films. Sadly, that is not the case with his latest patriotic drama Naa Peru Surya. The movie has opened to mixed reviews and average word of mouth. Reportedly, the movie runs on a serious note and does not cater any comedy or entertainment to the viewers.

This indicates that NPS may find it tough to achieve the same level of success that Allu Arjun’s previous 2 movies did. All in all, Allu Arjun got lucky with DJ and Sarrainodu but will have to face the wrath this time around.
