Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan openly stated that TV9 and ABN are following biased journalism and targeting the people who speak against TDP. The actor turned politician asked the people of Andhra Pradesh to boycott these TV channels as they are leaving the ethical values of media to the air.
These statements from Pawan Kalyan have shown a serious effect on TRP ratings of TV9. Going by Broadcasting Audience Reseach council’s 3-week report(April 7-27th), TV9 Ratings have seen a massive dip in the span of 3 weeks. TV9 registered 65 TRP points between April 7th-13th and 60 TRP points between 14th-20th. Interestingly the 4th week saw a massive dip as TV9 could manage only 51 TRP points between 21st-27th.
Sadly, TV9 has always been targetting sensitive issues and calling people for debates rather than delivering news that educates or offers some sort of knowledge for the viewers. It is really good to see that people are slowly avoiding brainless debates that last for hours together.
This clearly shows that people are showing lesser and lesser interest on the yellow media. However, TV9 is still on the top of the list of the highest viewership for Telugu news channels. Other noted channels like NTV, V6, TV5, T news, and Sakshi news follow TV9 on the list.
