Review : Khaidi No 150 – Great opportunity not used fully
Kaththi, the original in Tamil for Khaidi 150 is a complete entertainer with very less comedy but a very sincere relevant point. So when handling that already successful movie of a Tamil mass hero Vijay, it needed intense care and that too when it is comeback of a Megastar it had to be very careful. But Vinayak, in an attempt to make it more commercial, diluted the whole theme.
Fights were handled well. Songs were misplaced most of the times. Ammadu song is good choreography wise but its placement is totally wrong. Double action graphics are very bad and remind you of the 90s double action films. Comedy between Chiru and Brahmanandam starts off okay but becomes repetitive and stale after a while.
The movie’s proceedings look good till the interval where it reaches a peak of emotions. But the movie in the latter part becomes slow. The whole farmers’ difficulties message looks diluted.
In conclusion, the movie may be a feast for Chiru fans to see him after a long gap in a full-fledged role but for common audience, it is strictly average that too only because of the honest subject it tries to deal with.
